Snow Policies

Its that time of year! We are already seeing snow in the forecast! We want to take a moment to share our weather cancellation policies and practices with students.

Class Cancellations

The safety of our instructors and students is the most important thing in determining if class should be cancelled due to inclement weather.

Whenever possible, the Studio Manager will provided students as much notice as possible that class will be cancelled due to a weather event. That said, as we’ve seen many times before in New England, weather conditions can change suddenly and leave short notice.

We will make decision to cancel class based on the following conditions:

  • State declares emergency/ advised that non-emergency workers not be on roads

  • Framingham district cancels school for the day

  • Current state of weather conditions

  • Collaboration with instructor to determine level of comfort driving depending on current weather and road conditions

Decision to cancel class will be communicated as soon possible, ideally within 24 hours and no less than 2 hrs when possible. Communication includes:

  • Email to all students (please make sure you are subscribed to our newsletter)

  • Facebook/Instagram post

  • Text/email or automated alert to any students who pre-registered for a particular cancelled class

Workshop Cancellations

The same factors and conditions that determine cancelling a class because of weather applies to cancelling a workshop due to weather. Safety is paramount.

Snow Date

Should a workshop need to be cancelled because of weather. Lead instructor and Management will determine the soonest date and time (similar to original schedule) studio can offer a “SNOW DATE”

Student Compensation

Normally workshops are non-refundable. But if the studio is cancelling or rescheduling a workshop due to weather, students will be offered the following:

  • Option to attend “Snow Date”

  • Option for full refund
