Turn A New Leaf: Autumnal Intention-Setting Workshop

Are you looking for more energy and vibrancy in life? Small changes can move mountains…

The spectacular and dramatic seasonal shift from summer to autumn in New England calls our attention to what is changing. Whether we are ready for it or not, when the trees sense the time is right, they set themselves alight in fiery tones of yellow, orange and red. "Leaf peepers" arrive from near and far to experience the majestic beauty of change in process. The pageant draws to a close as the leaves wither and fall to the ground, where they nonetheless continue to fulfill their purpose of nurturing the tree. And although things appear bleak and unmoving when autumn's done, if we trust life and have faith in the steadfast process of change, come spring we will be rewarded with the jubilant appearance of new shoots, buds and blossoms.

The natural world is expert at the process of letting go, shedding what is past usefulness, to make room for growth and renewal. In our human lives, though, it does seem that we often find it challenging to make way for renewal by first letting go of those things that no longer serve us. Go against the grain this fall, and set an intention to stay the course of change.

Join Bridget Keller, Certified Professional Life Coach and Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) for the opportunity to get clear on what typically makes change seem out of reach. During this two and a half hour, full-body, experiential workshop, Bridget will use guided meditation and visioning to support you as you:

  • get clarity on the change that is available to you now;

  • determine potential sources of stagnation, and

  • gently clear space for renewal using the tools of softening, surrender, acceptance and allowing.

Using a simple step-by-step process, Bridget will guide you through an internal clutter clearing and set you up with strategies and skills that will support you in making change stick, so you can reorient your resources and toward renewed possibilities.

At the conclusion of the workshop, students will have identified and put words to:

  • a specific change they feel confident to make;

  • at least one thing they feel prepared to shift, in order to clear space for growth and renewal, and

  • a clear intention-as-mantra they can make daily use of, as they go against the grain of habit to stay the course of change.

This workshop is for you if you have been dreaming a dream of doing something differently in your life, and are finally ready to commit with action steps.

(Due to the short-duration, personal-development nature of this workshop, we invite participants to bring manageable goals that are appropriate for a public group setting.)
